Birthdays and then some
October 13, 2006Yesterday was Ate Epie and Kuya Edward’s birthday. I called Kuya to greet him. If we were in the Philippines I would’ve been at his house by morning already, but right now I could only talk to him. The gang over here (meaning Kuya Mike, Ate Epie, Jon, Cait, and Gray.. yeah, he lives with us now) and I were already on our way to dinner when I called him, and he said that they’re doing the exact same thing. That’s cool, I guess.
Anyway, for dinner we went to Famous Dave’s. I had the 4-bone St. Louis-style ribs with corn muffin, corn-on-the-cob, Famous Fries, and Drunkin’ apples. YUMMEH! To top it off, I had a glass of their Very Berry Margarita. Solve!
Today is my mom’s birthday. Lucky 13. We were at Denny’s for breakfast and we called her. I’m glad she and Elise (my sister) are doing okay. By the way, Elise’s birthday is on Monday the 16th.
Speaking of Denny’s, Kuya Mike and Ate Epie were setting me up with a guy they know there today. Or at least, they were trying to. I was so embarrassed that I just wanted to disappear like a bubble. Kuya Mike even had to go as far as telling Kris (the guy) that “[I] need an escort to show [me] around town”. And Kris just laughed and said, “It’s up to her”. I could’ve died right then and there. Haha. Oh, well. And then they went on to talk about cars. 
We’re supposed to get the van back from the shop today. I miss that car. It’s been in that place for more than two months now. That fucker who rear-ended us should be peeing in his pants by now, what with all the damage he’s done, he should be shelling out thousands of dollars. Hah. We’ll see…
