If Joseph had his dreamcoat, I have my life... and more.

I’m in therapy.

August 3, 2006

Sadly, it’s not for my mental health. :P I just finished my first session of physical therapy at Palmdale Chiropractic yesterday afternoon. Dr. Rein basically touched my neck and knew right away which spots were in pain. He scheduled me for my first PT session shortly after meeting me and after asking questions about the accident.

Anyway, the therapy was really nice. They used the ultrasound on my neck and shoulders. It was really warm and it eased the pain in my neck. The girl who attended to me (I think her name’s Alexis) was commenting on the jerk that did this to us. She also mentioned that my shoulders are tight on both sides, and she also said, “Maybe you’re just naturally tense.” Hm. Anyway, after the ultrasound, she hooked me up to this machine that makes you feel like you’re in a jacuzzi. The machine sent vibrations into my skin and it was warm as well. I call it the Dry Jacuzzi now. Alexis covered me up with blankets so it was extra warm, but still comfortable.

After the session I felt really sleepy. I almost fell while I was getting off the therapy bed. Heheh.

I’m scheduled to be back a few hours from now. Dr. Rein said the sessions should be done in a span of three weeks, but I don’t think I’d be needing that much therapy. I’m not hurting as much anymore. We’ll see.
